I got one of these letters as well…and I’m only 17 and haven’t really done anything particularly interesting at all! (yet :P) I certainly don’t have enough money to spare to buy the medal, even if I wanted to… Ah well, it was certainly fun getting the letter nonetheless haha :)

I and several of my collleges also receieved similar mails almost every year. Is there any thing not allowed by law.ABI is offering clever. show pieces for drawing room which can befool many.Scientific organisations must take some action against such activities.

I have received a similar nomination letter acknowledging my contribution in the field of science. Well, it was so convincing, especially from the couple of scientific articles and WIPO patent publications that I have. However, on searching for more information on internet, I doubted the nomination. Never the less, I shared the nomination letter with my children just to encourage them to work hard in their studies and endevours.

Dear Mr Dingemanse,

I also received the same letter, but found indeed that my contribution to medical research was too limited (just published not more than 10 papers) to justify such an “honor”. I searched a bit on the web and found also on wikipedia that these people just want to make some cash on me. Sorry for them, but without you and me, there only will be 998 great minds of the 21st century – cuvee 2010 !
