On the 24th of October I successfully defended my PhD thesis at the Radboud University Nijmegen. I was promoted to doctor cum laude, a rare honour bestowed on only about 5% of PhD dissertations in the Netherlands (the Radboud University, like most universities in the Netherlands, has only one grade of Latin honors).
